Ek Potlee Ret Ki (Kaani Nilam in Tamil)
YPP was born from the many rich ground experiences of Ek Potlee Ret Ki (Kaani Nilam in Tamil). As an activist collective that is exploring cultural identities, and the need to expand peoples’ action to preserve diversity, we have had extensive interactions with diverse young people. These interactions helped us understand the exigent need for a forum/platform that can hone and nurture their political thought and facilitate their collectivising and participation.
The need to dialogue and engage with the already polarised, and the fence-sitting youth has been the most critical learning from our continued grassroots work. This has helped YPP to develop the collective skills to communicate with young people who possess strong opposing opinions beyond divisive hate speech.
